Russian min says Greece interested in building ships at Crimea yard

MOSCOW, Aug 25 (PRIME) -- Russian Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Georgy Kalamanov and Nikolaos Koros, CEO of Greek shipbuilding firm Salamis Shipyards, discussed the construction of ships at Zaliv shipyard located in the Crimean city of Kerch, the ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

“We always support establishment of joint ventures on the territory of Russia, and we welcome cooperation between Salamis Shipyards S.A. and the Zaliv shipyard,” the ministry quoted Kalamanov as saying.

The officials have agreed to thoroughly work out the project and prepare its road map, the ministry added.
